About the Artist:
Linda K. Powell graduated with a BFA in 1967 and spent years portraying young animals and their mothers. She has illustrated numerous books, USPS stamps and even created style guides for Disney. Her attention to detail is wonderful and though there is an emphasis on the anatomical correctness of each animal, the tenderness and warmth between the mothers and baby animals shines through.
